The Opportunity

An established care provider is seeking an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to support the day-to-day leadership and operational management of a residential care service within the North West.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high standards of care delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational performance across the home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall day-to-day management of the residential care home

  • Assist in leading, motivating, and developing care and support teams

  • Ensure residents receive safe, person-centred, and high-quality care

  • Support compliance with CQC standards, policies, and safeguarding procedures

  • Monitor care plans, risk assessments, and medication management processes

  • Assist with staff supervision, rota management, and performance development

  • Support occupancy, resident experience, and family engagement initiatives

  • Contribute to audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities

  • Promote a positive, supportive, and professional culture across the service

  • Step into management responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Manager

About You

  • Previous experience within a senior care or deputy management role

  • Strong understanding of residential care standards and safeguarding requirements

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to support and motivate teams within a fast-paced care environment

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities effectively

  • NVQ Level 3 or Level 5 in Health & Social Care desirable

  • Experience working within elderly care or residential care environments preferred
